Description
  1. Beclomethasone Dipropionate: A potent glucocorticosteroid with weak mineralocorticosteroid activity. It helps reduce inflammation by inhibiting the synthesis of mediators like prostaglandins and leukotrienes, potentially through inhibition of phospholipase A2.
  2. Clotrimazole: An antifungal agent that blocks the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, by inhibiting 14-alpha demethylase. It is effective against various fungi, including Candida and Dermatophytes (e.g., Trichophyton, Microsporum, Epidermophyton).
  3. Neomycin Sulphate: An antibacterial agent that disrupts bacterial protein synthesis by binding to 30S ribosomes. It is effective against many aerobic Gram-negative bacilli and certain Gram-positive organisms, though it has limited efficacy against Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

SURFAZ-SN® Cream combines anti-inflammatory, antifungal, and antibacterial effects

Indications

SURFAZ-SN® Cream is intended for use in managing inflammatory skin conditions that respond to corticosteroids and are superinfected by secondary infections caused by organisms susceptible to the cream's components. It is also suitable when such infections are suspected. Like other potent corticosteroids, treatment should be discontinued once control of symptoms is achieved. If there is no improvement within two weeks, re-evaluation of the diagnosis is recommended.
